Goalkeepers
Scott is one of the top 'keepers in the league, although occasionally prone to error. He was signed from Rutherglen Glencairn in July 2002 and has won two trophies with the Glasgow side.
Defenders
DOB - 08.06.1974
Baker is an ex senior with vast experience, having played for both St Mirren and Kilmarnock before joining Pollok. Baker switched teams in the summer of 2004 to follow Manager Ronnie Lowrie to his new team.
Brian Wardle (central defender)
DOB - 20.03.1977
Wardle is another player who has plyed his trade in the black and white of Pollok although the vast majority of his junior days have been spent at Vale of Leven from who he both signed for the Newlandsfield team and departed for. Wardle can play in either defence or up front. He has also been fielded by Kirkintilloch Rob Roy
Stephen Miller
Stephen is a very highly rated defender, with rumours circulating in the summer of 2005 that he would be joining Super Premier West champions Pollok. His previous clubs include Glasgow Celtic.
Midfielders
Martin Hughes
Hughsey is a bit of an enigma down Lochburn way, capable of providing match winning moments but also a self confessed victim of the 'red mist' which has caused numerous suspensions. Previous Clubs include a spell in the senior ranks with Queen of the South and Hibernian, Martin signed from the latter in 2001.
Kevin Murray
Signed from Rutherglen Glencairn in 2002
Previous Clubs include Shotts Bon Accord, Lesmahagow and Partick Thistle
Forwards
Bryan Dingwall
Dingy is simply the top junior marksman of the moment, netting a phenomenal 42 competitive goals in season 2004-05 which prompted Pollok to scramble for his signature, hoping to lure him across the city. Dingwall instead chose to commit his future to the west enders and signed a new deal in July 2005.
He was signed from Bellshill Athletic in 2003 and has also played for Lanark United and Shotts BA.
Brian Watret
Big Watret is frequently compared to Celtic star John Hartson, for not only does the ginger haired forward bear more than a passing resemblance to the Welshman, but he plays in exactly the same style, providing the ideal target man and the perfect foil for the smaller Dingwall. He is equally capable of netting goals and can credit himself with tremendous skill in and around the box.
Watret was signed in 2003 from Larkhall Thistle, choosing Maryhill over Arthurlie who were also in the hunt, and has also featured for Glasgow Perthshire.
